I’m begging you. No, wait. I’m not BEGGING you.
Okay, Yes. Yes, I’m begging you – or at least asking you with a lot of heart.
You’ve been so encouraging to me about this book from the first word I wrote to the book launches and notes you have sent. I am so very grateful to you all.
Now, I need one more ask.
My publisher has asked me to send out a call and ask for reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. It is incredibly important to book publishers who are not the Big 5 to get as many reviews as they can because of algorithms and (techno blah blah blah).
So if you have finished the book, please consider leaving an honest review on Amazon or Goodreads (or both) or other forums you use.
For Amazon,
You don’t have to buy the book to leave a review, but Amazon has to know you’re a real customer—not a literary ghost.
so as long as you have purchased $50 worth from Amazon in the last 12 months you can leave a review by:

1. Signing on to your Amazon Account
2. Go to the book’s page on Amazon (example: The Space Between Breaths).
3. Scroll down until you see the

ratings and click “Write a customer review.”

4. Pick your star rating (1–5 stars).
5. Write a short review — even one sentence like “Loved it!” or “Didn’t click with me.” is great.
6. Click “Submit.” You’re done!
For Goodreads

1. Go to Goodreads.com and log in (or create a free account).
2. Search for the book (example: The Space Between Breaths).
3. Click on the book, then click the stars under the cover to give it a rating.
4, After you rate it, you’ll see the option to “Write a review.”
5. Type a few words or your full thoughts, then click “Save.”
FINAL NOTE: I understand it is a complicated time and there are rightful issues with Amazon. I am a published writer and I don’t have a choice of where the publisher places the book or what they need. In order for Brother Mockingbird, my publisher, to stay solvent, Amazon and the algorithms are part of their reality.
If you don’t feel good about leaving a review on Amazon, then please don’t do it, but do understand my need to ask.
